Your kids can romp about all over our exciting adventure playgrounds in the Zoo Leipzig. There is also a safari train inviting you on a ride. At the children’s zoo or at the petting paddock behind Pongoland, the little ones can get in touch with gentle farm animals.

You can satisfy your small or bear-sized hunger in our numerous cafés, restaurants and snack bars.

We can make your stay at the zoo more interesting! At the Safari Office behind the entrance, you can get beasty information on your personal safari across our zoo, with or without our experienced zoo pilots. The office is open daily from 9.00 a.m.-closing hour.

The zoo pilots guide groups of any age through the zoo, no matter whether you want to experience a general tour or wether you want to know something specific.

At the entrance you can rent buggies for your kids, wheel chairs and more.

Public Tansport: You can get to the zoo by taking tramway 12 (to Gohlis-Nord) from the trainstation or Goerdelerring

Arrival by car: Coming along the motorway A 14, follow the signs for "Leipzig Mitte“; coming from the A9, take the exit "Leipzig West“ and follow the signs for city centre.
