Friedrichstadt-Palast is known for its unique program and theater size. Here, Berlin’s great revue tradition lives on and with ‘Qi’ and ‘Yma’ has successfully arrived in the 21st century.
Unequaled in size, Europe’s show palace features more than 100 artists per show and the biggest theater stage in the world – with its many technical options and possibilities for use.
The theater’s legendary and eventful history dates back to 1919 when Max Reinhardt opened the Great Theater, its predecessor. But for more than 27 years the theater has been located at 107 Friedrichstraße in Berlin’s Mitte district, where it is housed in a gigantic new building in the heart of the East End Theater District. On April 27, 1984, Friedrichstadt-Palast was inaugurated and was the last historic landmark building of the GDR.
Following extensive investments into the millions, Friedrichstadt-Palast continues to be Europe’s
biggest and most modern show palace.
