Welcome to the stalactite cave near Heidelberg - "Eberstadter Tropfsteinhöhle".

The stalactite cave in Buchen-Eberstadt owes its discovery to a coincidence. On 13 December 1971 an approx. 1 m high and 2 m broad gap opened after a breakup explosion at a wall in a shelly limestone quarry.

Already the first careful investigations revealed the breath taking beauty of a nature monument which is unique in South Germany. The form wealth of the Eberstadter Tropfsteinhöhle gives every visitor an unforgettable impression.

Opening hours and guided cave tours:

• from 01.03. - 31.10. daily from 10.00 - 4 pm
• March/April and September/October closed mondays, but special cave tours are available
• from 01.11. - 29.02.: Sat/Sun and public holidays 1pm - 4pm
