Go for a ride on one of the electric passenger boats and glide past listed boathouses, roaring waterfalls and lofty mountain faces.
Legendary echo: You’ll surely want to hear it – the world-famous echo of the Königssee! The captain of your boat uses a trumpet to conjure up the echo from the steep rock face.
The fleet consists of 18 electric motorboats, which operate all year round except when lake is frozen.
Landing stages for boat cruises on lake Königssee:
- Königssee Seegelände in Schönau (with public car park, ticket sale, cruises start ca. every 30 min)
- Kessel (3 hours hike to Gotzenalm)
- St. Bartholomä (hike from here to ice chapel)
- Salet (walk to lake Obersee with the water fall)
Make sure you plan your time for breaks to go on hikes and outings when you plan your ride on lake Königssee – one of the next boats will obviously take you back to your starting point.
