Germany's most famous tourist route runs through Bavaria from the baroque city of Würzburg towards Füssen near to the Alps. On 350 km you pass more than two dozen towns like medieval Rothenburg and Augsburg or spectacular Neuschwanstein castle. You should be prepared for kitsch galore and hundreds of torists, but it's really worth it!
