Museum Berchtesgaden - Folklore Museum Adelsheim Castle Main emphasis of the collection: The "Berchtesgadener Wares," arts and crafts products, such as small boxes made from very thin strips of wood ("Spanschachteln"), wooden toys, woodwind instruments, coarse and fine wood carvings, filigrane pieces turned on a lathe, bone and ivory carvings, all of which were produced primarily in "home industry" (an early form of mass-production, but still done in private homes). Further collections of the Adelsheim Castle museum: Gailler's Big Marionette Theater pilgrimage and votive customs traditional clothing and customs mouse traps A private chapel, weaponry room, smoke kitchen and slide show are offered in addition to the folklore exhibition.
